Who Can Join?
Anyone ... as long as you enjoy mysteries and support the goals
of Sisters in Crime you are most welcome.
Even Men?
Yes, we are very appreciative of our "male members" and
two of our presidents have been men.
But What's in It for Me?
If you are a mystery reader, a membership provides an opportunity
to attend our events and talks featuring published authors and special
guest speakers. You also receive Stiletta, our chapter newsletter,
which features interesting articles on a variety of mystery and
crime topics and does a wonderful job of keeping you up-to-date
on your favorite local authors' books and events.
If you are an author (published or unpublished), membership
provides an opportunity to network with other authors, agents, booksellers
and librarians, to learn more about the craft and related fields
(like law enforcement, forensic anthropology, and medicine) from
experts, and to promote your work through events, our chapter Books
in Print and our Speaker's Bureau.
Are There Any Prerequisites?
Yes, you must also be a member of National to join the Northern
California Chapter. To join National, send your name, address,
and a check for yearly dues of $40 ($45 outside the US/Canada)
payable to Sisters in Crime to:
Beth Wasson, Executive Secretary
Sisters in Crime
P. O. Box 442124
Lawrence, KS 66044-8933
